After unexpectedly seeing Micky at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk in '05 (with a 7 wk. old, no less!), I just happened to google "Monkees" when I got back home, wanting to know what all the guys were up to, etc. That's how I stumbled onto this amazing place. And that little 7 wk. old baby who saw Micky for his first concert is going to be 4 in 3 days-and will get to see Micky again in July!

Actually, back in the late 90's/early 00's I posted frequently to the alt.music.monkees usenet newsgroup. I "kind of" knew some of the people here from that group. Cindi, in particular. In 2005, when my hometown re-booked Davy for our Waterfest concert series, (after his appearance the year before was cancelled because of rain), I was looking for ways to spread ticket and lodging info for anyone who was interested. That's what got me to come aboard here. Lucy promptly shackled me to the harmony hut, and I've been here ever since. Shane Visit the Public Enemies website today! Updated 5-19! New TV ads! There was a web competition that I was a part of where you could vote for your favorite. Don't remember the name of the site. But for a month or so my site was listed as the #1 Monkees fan page on that site. One day I went to check on the voting and saw that a place called Monkeeland was now in the number one spot. So, out of pure curiousity I clicked the link to check out the place that had knocked my little site down to #2 and I've been here ever since. "I like eggs in the morning and bacon at night. Posts: 75 (06/09/09 6:32 PM) Sigarette Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Well, to be truthful, I was just at the library one day..searching the 'net for random things...and just for the heck of it typed in "davy jones" and was immediately amazed at the number of fan sites....and from there found Monkeeland...and I was truly impressed at the devoted following they still have to this day...and even though I have never been a true life long fan..(meaning keeping up with them this entire 40 odd years...) they'll always hold a special place in my heart.... And, I must confess..I think that my interest in the guys was subconciously re- ignited one day by this really really cute former co-worker at the store...short...brown haired...remind you of anyone?! lol... Hmmmm...maybe I've got Ben to thank for bringing me back to my childhood love of The Monkees?!
