GORGEOUS! I think you need to come to my house Shane. My flowers are jumping ship to find someone who will take care of them properly!!

Thanks, all! Gosh, I don't think I can recall the names of all of them. The second and fourth ones are double petunias. The third one is my new gerranium.
The sixth and seventh are marigolds, and the last photo is a plant called menarda. That one is my only annual which comes back every year.
I have to be very careful to choose flowers that take full sun. There just isn't any shade to be had in my front yard. There's not a lot of special attention I give them other than to make sure they are watered every day and dead head the old flowers. Other than that, they pretty much do their own thing. Shane

Thanks for the info., Shane. I especially like those "double petunias!" So do some of them grow from bulbs and some from seeds? What time of year
do you plant them? My apartment building has had a children's garden project for the past couple of years, and my kids and I were involved with it. We
planted lots of vegetables in the spring and also bulbs in the fall, which were selected to bloom at various different times the following spring. They came
up beautifully this spring, and we all really enjoyed them. Unfortunately, the parent who was in charge of organizing the program is too busy to continue in
that role this year (she had a third child soon after the planting season ended last fall), and noone else has had the energy to take over for her, so we
haven't done any gardening this year.

I actually bought everything at a greenhouse center, so the plants had all already sprouted and started to flower for the most part when I brought them home.
They've certainly grown/filled out a LOT since then. Living in Wisconsin as I do, it would be insane to have any outdoor plants until Memorial Day. And
even then, there were days when they had to be brought in at night because of how cold it got. Most of them should last at least through the majority of fall.
The gerranium of course, can be brought inside after the summer months, and usually winters pretty well .
