Has anyone seen this or heard of it yet? I'm thinking about getting it, when it's released, but it seems fairly expensive. Either way I'm excited! I don't know how it'll turn out, and I've never played any of these Rock Band or Guitar Hero games, but this is making me consider it! Merry

I don't know if he is gonna get the Beatles application. IT does look cool though. I tried to play the Game guitar and the drums on several of my favorite tunes and I cant do it. I cant follow the colors to switch the tone or notes etc... I would rather play the songs using my real guitar and I can play drums somewhat although I am not a drummer. Guitar Hero and Rock Band is an interesting enigma. They actually have RB contests (some stores do this) and although these kids are greally good on the game, more than half of them would cringe and balk at the thought of picking up a REAL guitar or REAL drums and learning them to the level of the artists that are showcased in the game Having said that, I personally have no regrets haveing done things the old fasioned way back in the 60s when I was 12, practicing on my first electric guitar from Sears& Roebucks till my fingers were raw and bleeding. I can now after 40 years somewhat quasi-expertly play at least 3 chords (when I decide to practice) out of a real Amplifier cranked to 11 and get the effects and feedback that would make Nugent and Hendrix proud OR I can lay down a country rock "Nez" ballad without having to dial into a computer console menu trying to figure out what song to do next to challenge my "colored button pushing" skills. Not saying the game is bad but Sometimes I wonder.."Whats the Point?" If you really wanna make music, go out and make music!!!! Get a guitar, a Banjo (for the Peter lovers) or even a comb and a sheet of wax paper! Don't become tied to a ball & chain of CGI images and digitized music on a screen. I'd love to be able to play the real thing, but guitars and lessons are as a rule quite pricy in this area - assuming you can find someone to teach you. I actually boycotted Guitar Hero and Rock Band for a long time out of respect for real guitarists ;-). Problem is I'm a huge Beatles fan, so now I'm rethinking that stance. But, if I had a teacher and a guitar, I'd much prefer the real thing. Merry

But I so want The Beatles Rock Band! Only problem is I don't own a gaming system I can play it on. So, I'd have to spend money on that first and then spend more money on the actual game. sigh But, it is the Beatles and I adore them, so, yeah, I am definitely considering saving my hard earned cash for this.
